What do you have to do to be loved? What's your story? Do you have to be thin? Young? Beautiful? Sexy? Intelligent? Do you have to make a lot of money? Do you have to be witty? Wise? What does it take in your opinion to be loved?
Here's what I found out when I looked this straight in the eye. I found out that we have the most insane expectations to ourselves and to what we believe it takes for us to be loved. (Or should I say at least I do! Because obviously I can't be sure about you. But I do enough private sessions with people to know that most people are just as confused as I am!) So I've sat with this for a while and it made me realize how cruel we are to ourselves. Especially - and here's the good part - when we realize that God is Love. And by God I mean Reality or Life. God/Reality/Life is Love because when you think about it, you find out that God/Reality/Life has enough room, enough space for all of us. That's why God/Life/Reality is unconditional love - real love. Life/Reality/God doesn't say oh you can't be here because you are too fat or too old or too poor - no Life/Reality/God encompasses all of us no matter what.
I love to think about this! I love the thought that God/Life/Reality is for all of us, no matter what. There are no conditions, no demands, no expectations. We all get to be here! We all get to be whoever or whatever we are! Now that must be love.
Enjoy the love of this day!
Well, I sort of wrote a blog from a different angle in this topic today...
I found out that I have the love inside of me - as my soul and i are not here on earth to be loved - but to follow my inner beliefs and values and contribute with my soul to the Universal Good.
Sometimes that means I will not be loved - if I need to walk my talk... I need to follow my heart anyway. because my heart carries my love within... I do what I do out of love. :)
